Skynyrd is actually, you know, a really good band.

Get back to me when Bob and Phil go out on the road as The Grateful Dead, m'kay? LS is way worse!

He was on top of the pop stars. You couldn't turn him down.

Grateful Dead. They're not the best at what they do, they're the only ones that do what they do.
Skynyrd has some great tunes. They were a good band. Haven't really heard much of the post '70's band.

"Came through many fights, lost in love..."

Ed King came up with the riff for Sweet Home Alabama. They wrote some good tunes. Their music got you moving and smiling. The Allman Brothers Band, who I continue to dig more, seemed more 'sophisticated' and deeper than Skynyrd. Better musicians than the Skynyrd boys.

Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman & Jay Lane are Scaring The Children

Wanee, and where else? I'm guessing a bunch of shows this summer from Bob, Rob, & Jay, because I don't believe Furthur will be doing more than a handful of festivals this summer; just another guess. I'm stoked though to see some Bob & Rob shows ... with Jay Lane.
